Thomas was born in Paris, France, and moved to the United Sates in 2009, after a colorful military history. He joined the French army after high school and served in the scout unit of the Marine Expeditionary Force. Thomas spent the next eight years as a sniper and signals expert in military intelligence. After suffering what he calls “a couple of injuries,” he also spent time as an instructor. Then, after 12 years of service, and multiple combat tours, Thomas moved to the Midwest to pursue a Master’s degree at Bowling Green State University. Upon graduation, he accepted a position at Greenhills School in Ann Arbor, where he currently teaches French. A former rugby player and college cheerleading coach, Thomas discovered CrossFit in January 2015. After several coaching and training certifications, Thomas eventually became a yoga teacher and group fitness instructor, before coming back to his first and true passion, CrossFit, and then joined Wolverine Strength and Conditioning. When he is not at the gym or at school, Thomas enjoys spending time with his two puppies, Molière (a French bulldog), and Lillie (a toy poodle), watching new movies and TV series, experimenting with new cooking recipes, and traveling.
